Above saying has been the aphorism of Ayurveda. Does it not sound like a spiritual saying? Not only in its objectives but also in its perception of ailments and treatments, Ayurvedic remedies are helpful or at least less hindering in the path of spiritual endeavor. Health is an essential pre-requisite for spiritual achievement, but health is not to be taken as bodily health only. Health is a state where one is in position of internal and external equilibrium. Medication should coincide as much as possible with the natural processes. These are the basics where Ayurveda is unique and different from modern medical science and that is why ayurvedic remedies are recommended for spiritual seekers for any physical discomfort.
